The roasted marshmallow and graham cracker notes of Comoros vanilla beans go great with the chocolate notes in the Yong De shu. The vanilla is more subtle in Easy Listening than in the recent Vanilla Bean Dream Machine pressings. There is a version made with vanilla bean from Tanzania. At the moment the difference between the two is noticeable but subtle. That might change as the tea settles.

Diabolical Genius Press released a book of poems, 'Easy Listening' by Tim Krcmarik. These Easy Listening cakes were made to celebrate the release. The art work for the cake was made by Buzz Moran (https://buzzmoran.com)and was based on a mask, 'Beast of the Forest' made by Amelia Craypo.

What a treat! This is a multifaceted sensation best enjoyed involving a lidded vessel to cup the heavenly scent of this tea that collects in its vapours, as well as sufficient time to indulge in its flavours. The vanilla plays a strange game with the shu, as it comes out in stronger force with unexpexted brews (I think it was the third and the seventh for me; your mileage may vary). I took someone unfamiliar with shu on this journey with me, and it was such a wild and delightful trip I think I’ve converted them. Happy drinking to all who taste this!
